Chapter 10: Using Two Dimensional Geometry

Surfaces

A surface is a region with a contour to it. To create a surface, select the closed gure or pattern on the board and

click the Surface in the Tools pull down menu, Tools toolbar or from the context menu

A dialog window will open showing the surfaces that are available. Click on the desired surface and a three-

dimensional view of the surface will appear in the viewing area next to the list. The three-dimensional view

may be rotated and zoomed with the same mouse controls used for manipulating a board (see Using the Mouse).

Select the desired surface and click the ‘OK’ button.
