ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH
(TlgMening Power of Your Screwdriver)
See Figure 8.
When usingyour screwdriverforvaifcus drivingapplications,
it becomes necessary to Increase or decrease the power
and torque In order to help prevent the possibility of
damaging scmwheads,threads,workplese,etc. Ingeneral,
power and torque shouldcorrespondto the difficultyof the
screw to be driven. If torque Is too highthe screws may be
damaged or broken.
Note: Your screwdriverhas been shippedwiththeadjustable
torque clutchset at the lowesttorque setting.
TO ADJUST TORQUE
See Figure 8.
Locate arrow onfront of housing.
Identifythe twenty two torqueIndicatorsettings Ioceted
on torqueadjustmentcap.
Rotate adjustment cap to desired settingaligningnum-
ber on adjustment sap with arrowon housing.
To increase or decrease torque, rotatetorque adjust-
ment cap In the directionof the an'ows as shown In
Figure 8.

maximumtroublefree life. However, likeall bettedes, they
will eventuallywear out. To remove batteries,follow
BA'n'ERY REMOVAL Instruotlons. Handlingof these
bettedes, especiallywhen v_earingringsand jewelry,

To obtainthe longest possible battery life,we suggestthe
following:

Storeand charge your batteriesIn a coularea.
Temperaturesabove 1O0° F or below 50° F will
shortenbatterylife,
Never store potteries in a dischargedcondition.
Rechargethem Immediatelyafter they are
discharged.
All hattedes graduallylose theircharge, The higher
the temperaturethe quickerthey lose theircharge, if
you store your too_for longpedodsof time without
usingit, rechargethe batteriesevery month or two.
